UFS National Creative Social Change Network
Monthly, every 3rd Wednesday, 17:00 - 19:00 BST | online

UpFront Survivors (UFS) National Creative Social Change Network is a monthly 2 hour meeting for adult survivors of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) who engage in creative changemaking and activism; a peer-led forum designed and facilitated by CSA survivors.
We know that there are amazing survivor artists and activists working across the country. This online group aims to connect the creative survivor activist community together so we can support each other's campaigns. The network will meet every 3rd Wednesday of the month, 5-7pm. Our guest speaker for the meeting on 15th May is Matthew McVarish (Brave Movement): |
The Brave Movement, a global mobilisation of survivors and allies focused on creating transformational change to end childhood sexual violence, have been conducting in-person and online gatherings to engage survivors from all four nations of the UK, to build connections and alliances of survivors and their allies, amplify their impact, and formalise ‘Brave UK’. Unlike many parts of the world, the UK already has a vast and rich presence of survivor creatives, advocates and activists, many of whom are very vocal and visible online and in the media, but also many who prefer not to disclose publicly yet are still able and willing to contribute to catalyzing change. Brave has been focusing efforts to unite these formidable voices to strengthen networks and alliances. The Brave Movement’s mission is to end all forms of sexual violence against children and adolescents by elevating survivor voices and leadership, and encouraging aligned coordinated campaigns and advocacy. Brave UK is committed to ensuring survivor voices from all protected groups are included in our action, including survivors who may be neurodivergent, women and girls, men and boys, the transgender community and each of the UK minority communities, whose voices were underrepresented in the IICSA inquiry.
